woodland bluebells notts wildlifeOur friends over at the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust have long supported the preservation and conservation of our ancient woodlands. With less than 3% of the UK still covered by ancient woodland, these spaces are incredibly valuable. Not only because of the abundance of wildlife that inhabits them, but also because of the role they play in storing carbon, creating flood defences and preserving more threatened species than any other habitat in the countryside.

Now with the arrival of spring, the woodlands are starting to come alive, they are bursting with magnificent bluebell and wildflower displays, and teaming with wildlife. If you are looking for things to do over the Easter break why not see if there is a woodland near you to explore. Being outdoors, especially at this time of year, can really help to boost our mental and physical health, especially after what feels like a long winter. The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust also have some great ideas for Things to do in the Easter Holidays.

At Ascot Lloyd we are committed to not only supporting your financial wellbeing but also your mental and physical wellbeing too. We are also proud to work with like-minded partners to support environmental protection, wellbeing and the improvement of public spaces for local communities.
