At Ascot Lloyd, we believe that trust is the foundation of any relationship. We take the time to understand your unique situation and goals and create a financial plan that is tailored to your needs. We're here to support you every step of the way, and we look forward to helping you achieve your financial goals.

1. Find out about you

The first meeting is really important as it’s where we find  out all about you. This is called a ‘fact find’ and you can expect to discuss:

  • Your financial goals and objectives
  • Your current arrangements, investments and assets
  • Your attitude to and understanding of risk
  • Your ability to absorb loss

By the end of the first meeting, you can decide if you wish to proceed to the next stage, and agree associated fees. Your adviser will talk you through the options available. It is completely up to you whether you wish to progress and you do not have to make up your mind straight away.

The initial meeting is a non-obligatory no-fee meeting.

2. Researching solutions for you

This is where we research solutions that meet your needs. Our advisers are supported by a team of paraplanners who are skilled researchers working to the brief the adviser gives them, after they meet with you. Together they create a tailored recommendation, which your financial adviser will then present to you.

We offer independent investment advice. This means that we consider a wide range of financial strategies and products. We are constantly reviewing the market to ensure that the products and services we recommend are right for you.

3. Presenting our recommendation's to you

When your report is ready, we will get in touch to present our proposed recommendations. This is your Suitability Report.

These will be based on the information we recorded during the fact find and pertaining to your needs and goals, set out at the start. Our professional administration team support our advisers to prepare all the required paperwork. Upon your agreement to go ahead, we will implement the agreed recommendations.

What might a Suitability Report include?

  • Your needs and objectives
  • Your investment risk profile
  • A summary of any existing portfolio (if relevant)
  • A review of any existing policies
  • Our personal recommendations
  • Your risks and important considerations
  • Costs and charges for our services
  • Your action plan

4. Your ongoing service

Once you start your journey with Ascot Lloyd, we understand how crucial it is to have a financial plan that can adapt to your evolving needs and meet your expectations. Review meetings can be scheduled to ensure that your plan remains on track to achieve your goals. If any adjustments are necessary, we will ensure they are reflected in your financial plan.

Additionally, we want you to know that we are always available to discuss anything between review meetings.

Important - Investment involves risk. The value of investments can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you originally invested.
