Ascot Lloyd launches new Adviser Academy

Launching in early 2023, Ascot Lloyd’s new Adviser Academy will offer the opportunity for individuals to advance their careers in the financial advice industry.

Headed up by Duncan Gregory, the Academy aims to take talented individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and develop their skills and knowledge and provide the support they need to succeed as an Adviser at Ascot Lloyd.

The tailor-made 12-month training programme is designed to equip our new Associate Advisers with the advice skills, regulatory knowledge, and commercial acumen, which will be the foundations for a rewarding career as an Independent Financial Adviser at Ascot Lloyd.

The course will be split into 3 distinct parts:

• Part 1 – focuses on the knowledge needed to attain a diploma in financial planning
• Part 2 – focuses on the advice process and commercial skills
• Part 3 – focuses on the practical application of parts 1 & 2 and includes advanced modular training in areas such as cash flow modelling and goals based financial planning

Individuals will complete the CII level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, becoming fully qualified Independent Financial Advisers. They will receive support developing client portfolios and receive a small start-up of ready-made clients as the foundation blocks to help them build successful careers.
