Ascot Lloyd, one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing independently owned IFA firms, announces the appointment of Simon Vella as Chief Marketing Officer, effective from Tuesday 7th June.
Simon will lead the marketing function, developing all aspects of Ascot Lloyd’s branding and internal and external communications to drive lead generation and optimise client retention. He will also be responsible for building out Ascot Lloyd’s’ “on demand” telephone-based advice offering, with emphasis on digital servicing as well a direct, non-advised investment offering to coincide with growth plans.
Simon has over 25 years of experience across the financial services industry from start-up and scale up to established businesses, such as Towergate, AXA and Lloyds Banking Group. He joins from Profile Pensions where he was Chief Marketing Officer. There, Simon dealt with new client acquisition across a broad channel mix, all aspects of branding and communications, and e-commerce as well as digital and automated sales and service delivery.
Nigel Stockton, CEO at Ascot Lloyd, commented: “We are really pleased that Simon is joining the executive committee at Ascot Lloyd as Chief Marketing Officer. Now we have refreshed our growth strategy*, it is right that we strengthen our marketing function and look to build our brand both internally and, more importantly, outwardly with our clients, suppliers and product providers. Simon’s experience at scale-up firms is going to be invaluable as we move to a new stage of growth. We look forward to welcoming Simon next month.”
Simon Vella said, “I am joining the leadership team at Ascot Lloyd at a really exciting time. I’m looking forward to driving forward the growth plans and being part of one of the largest IFA firms in the UK.”
