Ascot Lloyd’s 12-month training programme is designed to equip you with advice skills, regulatory and commercial knowledge and understanding of the standards of conduct and ethical behaviours that are the foundation for a rewarding career as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) at Ascot Lloyd.
Individuals will complete the CII level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, becoming a fully qualified IFA and providing them with the foundation to build a successful career in financial planning.
Ascot Lloyd will support you in acquiring new clients and offer you a portfolio of existing clients when they become available.

Tim has spent the last five years working as an Adviser Relationship Manager, working with a team of advisers based from Aberdeen to Plymouth. His team accounts for £25m of revenue and £3.5bn of client assets.He has over 30 years’ experience working in onshore and offshore financial services. He’s spent the last 15 years working as a Regional Manager/Director for leading firms in the UK including Sanlam Private Wealth and Zurich Financial Services. His passion is working with and developing financial advisers.
A Chartered Financial Planner himself, Duncan has extensive experience in growing academies and IFA teams across the UK. Duncan spent the past five years as Area Head of Academy at wealth management firm, St James’ Place.Duncan has shown strong leadership by growing similar practices at other national and international firms including Prudential and Towry.
Mark has over 15 years’ experience of working in financial services and is one of our independent financial advisers for southern England.He has a wide-ranging skill set covering most aspects of financial services, but he is most in his element when dealing with the complex aspects of his clients’ affairs. This often involves clients who are close to the pension lifetime allowance, pension transfers (e.g. defined benefit and pension sharing on divorce), or offshore investment vehicles. Being an associate for the Society for Trust and Estate Planning (STEP) means he is well-versed in the finer detail of trusts and taxation.
Jill has over 20 years' experience in financial services with much of that time at Skipton Building Society in various roles including Regional Manager.Lattely Jill worked outside of f/s in Estates and Operational Management. Jill is also a qualified coach to ILM 5 standard.
James has spent the last decade growing B2B conference businesses, focusing on bringing together both tech executives and vendors. In 2018 he was part of the team responsible for the Sunday Times 27th fastest growing UK private company. James graduated from Sheffield University with a bachelor's degree in Politics & International Relations, having been involved in bringing high profile speakers such as David Blunkett and Evan Davis to the Student's Union.
Rob has worked within the engineering sector for the past 16 years, most recently as a Manufacturing Engineer for the Mercedes F1 team. During the last eight years he has been part of the team that helped power both Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg to win numerous F1 Drivers Championships, whilst also working to help develop the first ever road car with an F1 engine, known as the Mercedes AMG Project ONE super car.
Mike has worked in financial services for over 20 years. Mike became a financial adviser because he has a passion to help people make sense of their finances, and help them plan for their financial future. He has worked in a variety of settings including bank assurance and owning his own practice, he provides a broad base of advice, mainly to families helping them with practical solutions to the financial issues that concern them most. He advises in all areas of wealth management including, retirement planning, wealth protection, savings and investments.
Mike is an Independent Financial Adviser within the Connect team at Ascot Lloyd. Through building and maintaining a long-term relationship with his clients he provides them with a source of trusted advice as their financial needs evolve over the years. He is also a mentor to an Associate in the Academy.
