We are looking for a new Head of Marketing to join our marketing team based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing financial services business.

Purpose

  • Develop and implement brand strategy
  • Develop creative marketing initiatives in line with Ascot Lloyd’s company strategy, including but not limited to digital, advertising, PR,
  • Ensure high-quality services are delivered effectively, efficiently and consistently, whether it is direct or indirect communications
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of all marketing campaigns
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing team
  • Build and manage a highly effective, cohesive marketing team to deliver marketing initiatives
  • Take ownership of and lead all marketing and communications activities
  • Keep up to date with current marketing trends and ensure Ascot Lloyd’s marketing strategy supports the needs of our current and future clients
  • Work closely with product and PR management teams both internally and externally
  • Demonstrate Ascot Lloyd’s values and ensure the marketing team are Ambassadors for the Ascot Lloyd brand

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of all marketing projects and initiatives
  • Review and grow the Ascot Lloyd brand nationally
  • Develop, coach and manage the Marketing team, ensure marketing objectives are achieved
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing Director to devise an effective brand and marketing strategy
  • Carryout competitor analysis to ensure the company’s marketing strategy is competing effectively
  • Analyse consumer behaviour and determine trends
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
  • Develop M.I and monthly reports on all marketing activities to the Sales & Marketing Director
  • Build professional internal and external working relationships
  • Work closely with the Adviser Relationship Managers and other stakeholder to build and implement an effective marketing strategy
  • Develop project plans and meet milestones
  • Responsible for compliance of brand guidelines across Ascot Lloyd
  • Ensure marketing communications and PR promote the Ascot Lloyd message to maintain a reputable brand image
  • Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all media channels, including seminars, events, campaigns, web pages and promotional material
  • Ability to present and represent the company at industry events and conferences
  • Enhance social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition
  • Work closely with the Sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations

 Experience & core skills

  • Previous experience in a similar position is essential ideally from a competitor or company operating in a similar market
  • Up to date knowledge of marketing best practice and an eye for creative marketing opportunities
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
  • Strong understanding of effective PR and Marketing Communications
  • An ability to lead and inspire marketing teams
  • Excellent decision making skills
  • Ideally degree qualified and member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Drive and ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads
  • Proven ability in project and stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
