We are hiring a Regional Trainer to join the business in a homebased role.

Homebased - travel as required (North / South)

Purpose of role

  • To develop a learning and development strategy to support the company strategy long and short-term
  • Implement effective L&D solution to drive the strategy throughout the employee journey
  • Carryout annual TNA across all business units and roles, identify key gaps work in partnership with Regional Managers, Head of T&C and HR Director to roll out an effective training plan
  • Enhance Adviser knowledge and skills to further enhance the client experience and grow revenue
  • Provide meaningful monthly MI to demonstrate the ROI and training effectiveness

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement and evaluation of L&D course to meet the needs of all levels of employees within the business but with particular emphasis on knowledge and skills development of advisers
  • Meet regularly and work closely with Managers across the business to build an on-going L&D that meets Ascot Lloyds long term business strategy and growth plans
  • Work alongside Training and Competence & Regional Managers to carry out learning needs analysis to ensure training plans and courses will effectively meet identified gaps
  • Create and implement engaging content that positively encourages advisers to take on board L&D thus improving their competency, client experience and results
  • Prepare and deliver induction training for new advisers and acquired advisers to ensure that they quickly become effective in Ascot Lloyds policies, products and procedures
  • Provide an on-going program of soft skills development for advisers and employees to enhance the client experience and create business opportunities
  • Embed and support the training and development of Ascot Lloyds Adviser Academy
  • Construct, provide and monitor individual training to Advisers where skills gaps have been identified through performance management
  • Design supportive training documents for new product launches and deliver effectively to the Advisers
  • Deliver training via a mixture of medium solutions to ensure effective use of Advisers time
  • Contribute to Trainee IFA & Trainee Management programs
  • Create and deliver training solutions to agreed KPI’s to ensure all targets are met and continuous improvements are made

Key Responsibilities continued:

  • Retain up to date knowledge of AL Advice Manual and any updates from IOAPC
  • Provide monthly reports to Head of T&C/HOAP with supporting MI to evidence value added through training, hand highlight continuous areas for development
  • Adhere to the regulatory rules of Ascot Lloyds regulators and decision-making bodies
  • Build internal stakeholder relationships, encourage and inspire others through coaching
  • Work within set budgetary requirements, reporting on expenditure as required

SM&CR Responsibilities

As an FCA regulated Company, Ascot Lloyd are required to adhere to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR), to develop a culture where employees take personal responsibility for their own actions.

Experience / Skills Required

  • Diploma qualified or Chartered
  • Training qualification, CIPD or other
  • Generic financial services product knowledge
  • Demonstrable business experience in a training role within an FCA regulated financial planning environment
  • Broad awareness of regulation with the financial services industry
  • Design and deliver financial planning training, business development training and coaching
  • Ability to train on various software, including IO, cash flow and risk rating tools
  • Effective self-management, proactive
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet agreed deadlines
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Own and delivery of training and development strategy
  • Can demonstrate up to date with current and upcoming training tools
  • Displays high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Willing to travel throughout UK
  • Full UK Driving License
