We are recruiting a Marketing Executive to join our team in the Birmingham office.

Birmingham (initially remote working followed by minimum 3 days per week in the office)

Purpose

Reporting the Senior Marketing Manager you will develop and deliver an events programme that meets the goals and KPIs of the overall Ascot Lloyd marketing strategy and plan. You will take the lead in in promoting, organising and delivering prospective and existing client and partner events to support client acquisition, retention, and brand building. You will evaluate the effectiveness of the events and provide reports to demonstrate performance versus targets. You may support on the development and delivery of other marketing initiatives and campaigns as required.

Responsibilities

  • With support from the Senior Marketing Manager and the wider team, plan the annual events programme and take full ownership of executing each event. This includes, but is not limited, to seminars, webinars, other virtual events, hospitality events, networking events, and partner supporting activity
  • Set up and maintain an events calendar and a schedule that highlights key dates leading up to the event for stakeholder involvement
  • Scope event requirements and set project plan for event delivery within defined budget
  • Source venues and present options to key stakeholders
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gain input into event planning and regularly update throughout the project
  • Work with Head of Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager, Business Development Team & Area Relationship Managers to define content and event agenda, presenters and communication process pre and post event
  • Manage the data and recipient lists for each event and ensure high quality invitation and communications are issued on time
  • Develop and deliver all presentation material, communications and campaign promotion associated with the event working with others in the team as required as well as external agencies and suppliers
  • Work across the team to maximise promotion of the events through relevant channels
  • Manage all logistics of events, maximising the potential for attendance and ensuring an excellent attendee experience
  • Ensure quick and timely follow-up post event to provide reports on event success including summary /evaluation on feedback, leads generated, and lead allocation for onward sales management

Responsibilities - continued

  • Make ongoing recommendations for further event improvement, development or expansion to support new client/partner acquisition or existing client/partner retention
  • From time to time support the Senior Marketing Manager in developing other marketing initiatives and campaigns as required
  • Write campaign and design briefs for event marketing initiatives
  • Working with the Senior Marketing Manager to define target audiences
  • Ensure that all that all activities comply with regulatory compliance requirements and follow the Treating the Customers Fairly principles laid out by the FCA
  • Ensure business and compliance approval on all communication and promotion material following agreed business sign-off process and ensuring regulatory compliance

Experience and core skills

  • At least 3 years’ general marketing experience
  • Hands-on end to end events management experience
  • Campaigns management experience across all marketing channels including digital, PR, direct mail, and print
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills
  • Strong copy writing and script writing skills with the ability to write engaging content interpreting complex financial solutions into jargon free, easy to understand and compelling communications
  • Agency management experience including writing briefs and managing and evaluating the response to brief
  • Creative thinker able to come up with fresh and innovative ideas
  • Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment working collaboratively across the team to implement event related communications through all channels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Drive and ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures in a compliant manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
