What do our clients say about us?
I would just like to say how impressed I am with the warmth and efficiency that Helen Richardson conducted the annual review of my pension fund. Helen contacted me at the precise time that we agreed; she explained all the options open to me going forward with my fund, and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. Helen has been my fund manager for some years now and she is friendly and easy to chat to. She has certainly helped me to navigate through the tricky concept of my pension options. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing pension advice.Feb 2021
Lindsay did a thorough appraisal of financial standing, our pensions and savings and gave us tax planning advice as we head towards retirement ourselves. Lindsay tidied up and simplified our pensions as we had several schemes running simultaneously, and advised on investments based on our attitudes to risk.Feb 2021
Lindsay analysed our earnings and previous savings and talked us through different possibilities to maximise our savings for the future. She helped us to analyse our own attitude to risk as we had no experience of investment previously. She led us over a number of years to prepare for and manage different financial needs with children and ageing parents in mind.Feb 2021
Gemma explained, in simple terms, my options regarding both pensions and savings. My questions and concerns were professionally addressed to my complete satisfaction. In the recent climate, it is important to feel confident with any decisions made from a trusted source.Feb 2021
Rudy keeps me up to date with any changes that are happening with my Investment and we have an annual review to discuss any other changes in circumstances that may affect my investment, but I am aware that I can contact him at anytime for advice.Feb 2021
Gavin has provided help in several ways. He simplified our pension arrangements, consolidating several plans. He ensured that important elements of existing plans were retained. And he has allowed us to plan for our upcoming retirement and provided much reassurance.Jan 2021
Everything has been consolidated, covering pensions and savings and I can now plan with confidence as to what money I can spend and when. I was able to take early retirement (Q2 2019) and indulge my passion for holidays, mainly cruising, although recent events have restricted that.Jan 2021
What does a Financial Adviser do?
Financial advisers help people with their long-term financial planning, including investments, pensions, retirement planning and mortgages. They may also help in specialist areas like inheritance tax planning, estate planning and later life planning.
People will often go to an Adviser either with a specific need or a broader goal like “I want to review all my finances and make sure I’m set up for retirement”.
Please see below for more information about how Ascot Lloyd work with you to develop a financial plan to meet your needs.
It’s all about you
At Ascot Lloyd we put you at the very centre of everything we do. Everyone is different and has their own story to tell. We believe that to provide good financial advice we must establish a trusted long-term relationship with you, recognising who you and your family are as individuals.
No one size fits all
We offer choice and flexibility on how you want to work with us, as well as peace of mind and assurance a larger firm can bring. Your Ascot Lloyd Independent Financial Adviser will give you reliable, unbiased advice to suit you. You can arrange meetings by phone, video call or where available face to face.
Getting to know you
You need to feel comfortable and like your Ascot Lloyd Adviser straight away. The first meeting is the most important stage as we get to know you. It involves a free introductory, no obligation meeting where we will get and understanding of your current situation, life goals and aspirations as well as your attitude to risk ensuring any future solutions meet your expectations.
Building your plan
Now it’s time for us to do the hard work. Your Ascot Lloyd Adviser will research across the whole of the market and find the most appropriate solutions that will help you reach your financial goals. Your Adviser will explain each of the solutions to you outlining the implications and choices, answering any queries you may have. This might cover how much you save for the short-term vs. investing for the long-term, or whether to invest through an ISA and/or a pension.
Once you have agreed a plan, they will then go on to hunt out the very best options for you. With your permission they will then complete the necessary administrative work to execute any recommendations.
Staying on track
The key to any sound financial plan is ensuring it performs to your expectations and reflects any changes in your financial situation. Your Adviser will schedule review meetings with you, to check your financial plan still meets your objectives and reflects any changes you want to make. Of course, we’re available to talk at any time in between review meetings if you would like to.
If you have any questions about how we can help with your financial plan, please do get in touch.
Past performance is not a guide to future performance and may not be repeated. Investment involves risk. The value of investments and the income from them may go down as well as up and investors may not get back any of the amount originally invested. Because of this, an investor is not certain to make a profit on an investment and may lose money. Exchange rate changes may cause the value of overseas investments to rise or fall.
