Purpose of role

This is a key role in the transformation team ensuring testing is completed to determine whether or not any project within the transformation program satisfies acceptance criteria based on business requirements. This role will also embed change into BAU and assist with the transition of change into the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the whole transformation team to understand the scope of projects and the outcome required
  • Ensure any project outcome is ready for business users by developing test plans, scripts and scenarios
  • Work with business SMEs to conduct thorough testing of any change to process or system
  • Provide knowledgeable and technical input and analysis to ensure the success of all projects in the transformation programme
  • Work with the transformation team to define project deliverables
  • Provide input into project plans
  • Document interim and final results of testing
  • Highlight risks to the Operational Processes SME/Architect to ensure all risks are captured, measured and tracked
  • Assist with the prioritisation of projects
  • Create test-specific status reports
  • Ensure regression testing is part of any test scenario, script or plan
  • Engage with appropriate SMEs to ensure they are focused on successfully delivering and adapting to any change
  • Work to clear and agreed objectives and KPIs for all projects
  • Design effective methods of communicating change to the business – success and outcomes
  • Work with change champions across the business to embed change – network with this group on regular basis

Experience / Skills Required

  • Have 2 years+ professional experience in a testing and transition environment, preferable within financial services
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to write test documentation such as test plans, scripts and reports for all levels of expertise to understand and use
  • Strong technical skills and abilities
  • Skilled at testing processes and methodologies
  • Exceptional communication, and collaboration skills, with ability to engage and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong decision-making – ability to liaise with others but ultimately make a decision when presented with options
  • Strong influencing skills – ability to engage with others at all levels to ensure change is embraced and adopted
