We are recruiting a Business Analyst/Data Scientist.

Purpose of role

To work with and support the Operational Processes SME/Architect to implement transformation programs in the business . Provide subject matter expertise in the form of advice and guidance to the wider transformation team and key stakeholders from all departments in the business. To recommend and implement methods for increasing efficiency and profitability within the operating model and to realize a key strategic goal of improved experience and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements and objectives of the project from the Operational Processes SME/Architect
  • Translate and simplify the requirements and objectives and present to  the wider team for approval
  • Be aware of project deadlines and ensure analytical output aligns with the overall project plans
  • Adjusting schedules and priorities to ensure efficient delivery of the project
  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis
  • Focus on quality improvement and data management.   Ensure data is reliable and valid
  • Analyse and synthesize business requirements, including recognising patterns and conceptualising processes
  • Review business processes from end to end and identify and address operational risks
  • Highlight areas of improvement and plan and resource both internally and externally
  • Design, prepare and produce both regular and ad-hoc complex reports for management and stakeholders
  • Maintain and develop the production of regular MI to track project progress
  • Influence, co-ordinate and manage stakeholders towards agreed objectives and timelines
  • Work in accordance with procedures, company policy and processes, you will also work lawfully, and in accordance, with the pre-defined regulatory, compliance and financial requirements e.g. Data Protection, Code of Conduct, Health and Safety and Financial Conduct Authority Standard

Experience / Skills Required

  • Proven record of stakeholder management and continuous improvement of business processes
  • Track record of building multiple end to end projects across multiple disciplines and locations
  • Strong data gathering skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office – and specifically MS Excel and project management tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to analyse data and provide insight as to what the data is suggesting – be curious
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to build effective relationships and influence others
  • Proven project management and leadership skills
  • Previous experience in a customer centric environment is preferred and prior exposure to the regulated / financial services sector would be beneficial
  • Previous experience of dealing with acquisitions and integrations
  • Driven to succeed with a focus on driving progress against timelines and ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads
  • Strong focus on objectives and sense of responsibility for delivering on time
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to network and make use of a wide network of contacts within the business and outside the business
